The job definition properties are defined in mvftmjob

The name of the file that contains these records is defined on the FileNames SetUp Screen

Allows scheduled jobs to be defined. Including date and time for the job to run and whether the job runs in the background or not.

These programs can be set to run as phantoms

Scheduling Batch Jobs Use the commands SCHMAN and this JOBMAN screen to define the batch jobs to be scheduled and the schedule dates and times. Check whether the scheduler is running by looking at the phantom monitor This can be assessed from the TCL command TIPMAN. If the scheduler is not running then it can be started from TCL. A screen shows the phantom monitor with the scheduler running. Comparing the Active time to the current system time will show that the scheduler is active. If the scheduler is in-active then this time will not be recent. It is possible to confirm that the scheduler is alive by accessing the scheduler control record using an SCHMAN command. This will temporarily lock the scheduler and it will display this in the scheduler monitor.
